Her voice, dyed in anger and frustration. She could have been out there, doing great things she knew she was born to do but then she got married to a husband she grew to resent and had two kids she wished were never born.
I could not bring myself to look in her eyes, because I could feel the weight of her heart, breaking. Her fault-finding mouth is clawing at my defences, and nothing would come out of my throat to stop her.
